NRNA UK MEETS NEPALESE AMBASSADOR

NRNA UK MEETS NEPALESE AMBASSADOR

 24/11/16

NRNA UK has met Nepalese Ambassador for the United Kingdom Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi at the Embassy of Nepal earlier today. A team of delegates led by president Muchhetra Gurung consisted majority of office bearers, including Vice Presidents Yog Phagami, Shanti Thapa and Dashu Ram Pandey, General Secretary Bijaya Bikram Lingden, Secretary Phadindra Bhattarai, Assistant Treasurer Lalit Neupane, Spokesperson Khusi Limbu, Youth Coordinator Hari Acharya and Executive Members Rajesh Pathak and Krishna Bhattarai.

During the meeting at Kensington Garden that lasted a couple of hours, president Muchhetra Gurung briefed His Excellency the Ambassador Dr. Subedi about NRNA UK's dream Project Nepal House, a plan to either build or buy a community Nepalese house in the UK. Executive Member Rajesh Pathak, who is also Technical Director for the Nepal House Project, presented a Detailed Project Plan (DPR) to Dr. Subedi. Similarly, Vice President and Nepal House Project Coordinator Yog Phagami highlighted the significance and long term objectives of the project. All in all, NRNA UK expressed its desire to obtain credential and support from Nepalese Embassy for the project Nepal House so the fundraising campaign could be prompted in any part of the UK where Nepalese live.

Acknowledging NRNA UK's expectation in very positive way, ambassador Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi assured NRNA UK that he and the Nepalese embassy would support to promote the cause in every possible way - be it moral, publicity or similar, if not financial. "The most important things is that NRNA UK has begun this admirable cause; you're on your way to making a history. Who begins such a cause is more important than what others say. This project will have a long-term positive outcome for all Nepalese living in the UK", the ambassador expressed his delight.

The ambassador also welcomed NRNA UK's official invitation as Chief Guest on the forthcoming Charity Event of December 26 at Empire Banqueting Hall of Aldershot. The event will also see NRNA President Dr. Shesh Ghale as Special Guest, and NRNA UK hopes that the Charity Dinner would trigger its fundraising activities for Nepal House to a newer phase.

During his communication Ambassador Dr. Subedi also highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation and understanding between the embassy and NRNA UK, particularly anticipating that the association would have its say in a fair and form manner whenever the Nepalese embassy does right things. However, he said, if embassy acts in an inappropriate way or has any shortcomings during the course of serving its people, organisations, particularly like NRNA UK and the press, would let the ambassador know before going public so he and his team at the embassy can rectify the situation.

Embassy Spokesperson Mr. Sharad Raj Aran, formerly the Acting Ambassador, also observed the meeting. Mr. Aran put forward his view whether NRNA UK's was considering to take the Nepal House awareness and fundraising campaign beyond South East of England, particularly to major cities other than the capital. To his concern, Spokesperson Khusi Limbu told Mr. Aran that the association is currently in the process of forming its regional committees in Wales, Scotland and Northern Island that would pave a way to spread the campaign across the country soon.

Nobody try to listen my voice? Why?

The latest political development in Nepal is hurting me or us very much where nobody, no party are in favour of way out from the present obstacle and crisis to establish permanent peace and change in society through new amendment in Nepal constitution.

Please see the light bulb one time that is burning it-self  to provide light and brightness to others. I am seeing nobody is prepared to burn themselves to provide light to others.

What was the mistake of those martyrs who sacrificed themselves to change progressive life at the time of people’s popular war? What were their dream and thinking? What actually they had wanted? Where is the change? Where is the respect to the people and society now? Why are we forgetting all our promises?

Where had the power of the people gone? Where is employment and job creation for the innocent Nepali youths? Where is the proper planning and programme to develop the nation? Why not the member  of Nepal parliament not paying attention and not serious to amend in Nepal constitution and hold local, pradesh and federal election by Magh 2074 to implement constitution of Nepal?

The leader is one who touches the heart of the millions. The millions keep a leader inside their heart with respect. However, we Nepalese are very unfortunate not to have any such leader. At present, there is no one whom people can find a quality of leadership.

The leader should have no personal interests. The interests of the leader are confined to the welfare of the nation and the people. The persons working for the party and family interests are not the leaders but the family heads and the agents of the party. At most, they could be pin-pointed as the politician.

Nepal is in complete division. No one is ready to accept other's point of view. There is very little chance that all views are amalgamated and brought into a useful compound. No one is ready to listen to the real masses. Had there been any leader, he or she might have stood up and said it is the people whose voice needed to be heard.

Once the people's voice is heard, it is very likely the position of a politician is eroded. Here, why Nepal's politicians are in favour of division among the Nepalese people. 'Divide and rule' is the ultimate goal of all to remain on the helm of the society by protecting the status of politicians.

There were few persons who had some quality of leadership. Among them, I can count these names: late  B P Koirala, Ganesh Man Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. It might be my personal opinion. These leaders never thought of dividing the nation and the people for the personal or party interests.

They all followed the Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah's principle of having single Nepal. They felt proud to salute the Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah. But the present politicians and many others saw our history of bravery as fault because of their deep-rooted interests.

Finally we must remember the history that Buddha ,son of king Suddodaya  gave up palace ,went to mediate and got philosophy and became great philosopher for this world .Ram ,son of Ajodhya late king Dasharath  went to jungle giving up palace  for 14 years and became god upon return. I believe who give up post and power for good cause will always be appreciated.

To overcome the problem of Nepali political crisis and to provide amendments in constitution in time, every individuals and all party must ready to give post, power and whatever they need to give up.

This is the time to add up drop drop water to make river and add up pence pence to make pound. This is the time we need to respect each other .This is the time to we need to identify the root cause of the problem and try to solve jointly. History has already proved Kirat regime,Lichhabi regime,Rana regime, Late king regime, Panchayat regime, Moist regime, was unable to  transform progressive society alone to bring change for Nepali people. It already proved no one can bring change alone. This is not the time to blame each other too. This is the time we all need to unite and stand together.

Finally I suggest all Nepali political party,Nepal government and member of parliament of Nepa to work seriously day and night from today to finalize the  agreed draft for amendment in constitution and enter Nepal into new economic era of economic and social change by implementing new amended constitution which should be declared in near future.

Hope democracy will be sustained; human right will be fully
established. Law and order will work. Permanent peace will prevail.
