Successful event Bar operation

 

  • Daily’s Briefing- Briefing to staffs play great role to understand the summery what’s is there today .
  • Stock check - How many quantity of which product needed to  run the functions .
  • Time is very important - We must follow event function sheet to do the job accurately on time ,preplanning plays great role for successful of events .


  • Make ready drinks for next day i.e wine , champion, bubbles etc . After function job to be ready for next day .
  • Stock the fridge with beers / check barrel if you are not doing draft beer .
  • Backup ice for next day


  • Make sure you have good bar backs so that you don’t suffer with supply of clean glasses 


  • Understand the nature of guest , you will have rough idea in 1 or 2 hours the patterns they will be drinking whole day. so be prepared accordingly like some are wine lovers i.e rose wine , red or white , some are whisky lovers , some are gin and tonic lovers , gin have different flavours so have proper knowledge of gin to avoid awkward situations, if you don’t know show the bottles, guest can decide themselves if they are regular drinkers.


  •  Event manager play very important role on that , if the manger is changed it takes time to know his working Patterns although we must follow event function and plan accordingly.
  • Be careful about noise - if your venue\property or event venue is on the residential area be careful about disposal of bottles , may be not after 10 pm depends upon local law to avoid complains and make neighbours happy .  Happy neighbours are always good for business because they are customers for tomororw successful business .
  •  Glass shortage -when  it’s busy and you don’t have particular glass offer them alternatives usually guest are concern about drinks not glasses when they drink couple of sorts .


  • Knowledge of House  wine and house Sprites is the must , house sprits are cheaper than others some times  guest  think it’s same price or normal  as before but reality is different when they need to pay for drinks . please don’t make the guest upset for easy function of operation  and involvements of superior or manager could be difficult for the bar team too . So be very careful 😊
